April Lockhart
April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th of July. She began guitar and piano lessons at seven years old. Her interest in songwriting was awakened. At the age of seven, April began taking guitar and piano classes. This ignited her interest to write songs. The year she turned 14 was when she was devoted for a long period of time in creating song concepts and practicing the music she was playing. Then, in the following months, April began to travel with her dad and to write songs either in NY or LA. April added other themes to the song "Take My Hand" for some of acquaintances who faced concerns like peer pressure problems, as well as teenager suicide. Lockhart is an influencer in the beauty and lifestyle industry who has a growing fan base. She collaborates with the renowned brand Ilia in partnership, and is also a specialist in lifestyle. She has a disability that is a component of her identity, but it's not all of the picture. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't conceal the fact that she is disabled, but neither does it make a point of it. The message is? The message? That we have many different aspects, that our identity and physical bodies aren't what they seem. Lockhart talks via video in Nashville. "I don't want it to define my life. I'm not looking to only be identified as a specialist in disability. My everyday life isn't dependent on it. I live my normal daily life, and come up with my own solutions to issues. This is a major aspect of my existence, therefore it's important that we talk about the subject. Lockhart is a huge source of inspiration for her female friends regarding acceptance of oneself. She admits that she's been through phases with her body at times feeling insecure to wear certain types of clothing which showed how much of her body. Nowadays, she dresses anything she likes and uploads pictures of herself in these outfits on social media, she is proud of herself. Self-love, she says is a process. It's hard to say when you'll reach the end. This is, however, typical for people that is prone to doubts. I believe that it's really vital to surround yourself people who can see and know your true heart.
