Laura Linney is an American actor, who became famous for her portrayal of strong but vulnerable characters. After spending the summers with her father's business Laura Linney fell in love with the theatre. Then she attended Brown University she studied acting and at Juilliard School, after which she began her acting career. Within a mere two years after graduation, she launched her Broadway-based career. The following year she made her debut in TV and film. Over the past few years she's been in many films, television productions and stage plays. She has won many awards throughout her career. This includes four Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. However, despite all the awards, her passion for theater is still there constant, as she still performs as a stage performer and screen.
