Jenna Fischer has become best recognized as Pam Beesly, the character she portrayed on The Office. In the course of playing this part, Jenna was honored with two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and also an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she was raised living in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was a spectator as her mother Anne performed in church plays. Her love for performance and theatre was cultivated as a teenager.
Following the conclusion of The Office, Fischer, who is a trained actress in the theater, went back to her home base. The role she played was Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. She went on to star as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's new show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show on the Old Globe Theatre.
Angela Kinsey from The Office (the cast mate of Fischer) as well as her real life best friend Angela Kinsey of The Office, started a podcast in October, called Office Ladies. The show is now extremely well-known and is now in the Top Ten every single week. In its initial year, it had over 200 million downloads. Office Ladies, which was first launched in October of 2019 it was nominated for iHeartRadio's Podcast of the Month award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life is her debut book that details the journey she took from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood and then to Hollywood, where she was a professional actress. The second book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography about her closest friend, as well as their time in The Office.
